Job Title: Open Source Code Analyst

Location: Bloomington, IL, US

Duration : Long Term

 

 

Qualifications:

Client is seeking an IT professional to perform automated scans of open sourcing software at one of our key clients. Preferred candidates will have previous software development experience in Java as well as Maven. The individual chosen to fill this role will use scanning tools to review source code for software licensing requiremements and the person will need to review and identify code with licensing requirements and document them. For this role, the individual will be expected to build a License Bill of Materials in line with industry best practices and client specific requirements.

 

 

Responsibilities of this role includes:

 

- Perform source code scanning for JAVA, .Net, JavaScript (and any other OO languages) used by the client in developing custom software applications

- Experience with Fossology, OLEX Deep Dive Discovery, Sonatype tools

- Process open source software scanning requests

- Utilize license scanning tools to scan source code

- Reviews code to identify licensing

- Builds License Bill of Materials of reviewed source code

- Answers general questions regarding the open source scanning process

- Can performs variety of other activities (within Java/J2EE code sets) as needed



Competencies required:

 

- Strong communication skills

- Self-motivated

- Solid teamwork

- Attention to detail

- Development experience with maven desirable. 

- Development experience with java/j2ee is desirable.
