Job Description
The Technical Writer Engineer will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. Work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more efficiently for its intended audience. Collaborator, reliable, self-motivated, show initiative and can work well within a team and independently. Excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, process, and the documentation requirements
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Write easy-to-understand user processes, online help, and developer guides
- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
- Determine the most precise and most logical way to present information for the most significant reader comprehension.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- Review and copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
- Flexible and adaptable to manage shifting priorities and executive support presentations in a fast-paced environment.
- Standardize content across platforms and media
- Able to translate documentation and presentations in English to Spanish & vice versa.
Qualifications
Education And Experience Required
- 2+ years experience working in the field of copywriting, engineering, or project management
- English proficiency 90%+
- Industrial Engineer preferred
- Skilled in Lucid Chart, Gliffy, Visio, and Google Platform
- Skills in layout and design, data visualization, infographics, and visual storytelling is a plus
- Experience in project manager is a plus
Knowledge And Skills Desired
- Storytelling and editorial experience preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skill set. Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple deliverables
- Self-motivated shows initiative.
- Demonstrated creative judgment and design sensibility.
- Highly proactive.
- Takes ownership of projects, ensuring their quality and task execution.
- Provide and receive objective feedback proactively.
