Job Description
Role Summary
This role is responsible to drive financial evaluation, structuring, and execution support for M&A, in-licensing, and business development transactions across Emerging Markets. The role partners closely with business development, legal, tax, treasury, and regional business & finance teams to identify, evaluate, and integrate inorganic growth opportunities, while providing robust financial modelling and post-deal performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead financial evaluation of M&A and in-licensing opportunities, including P&L build-up, cashflow projections, NPV/IRR/payback analysis, and sensitivity modelling.
2. Prepare and present deal rationale, financial models, and board-level presentations to CXOs and senior leadership to support investment decisions.
3. Support negotiation and structuring of M&A and in-licensing transactions, working closely with deal teams.
Conduct financial due diligence and risk assessment for target companies/products.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, tax, treasury, and business teams to ensure smooth deal execution, structuring and post-acquisition integration.
4. Track and report post-acquisition/post-deal performance, providing insights for course correction and value realization.
5. Build and maintain a pipeline view of active and prospective deals across Emerging Markets (Asia, Africa, LATAM).
6. Partner with regional finance and commercial teams to align BD/M&A strategy with broader business objectives.
7. Drive process improvement and automation in deal evaluation and reporting workflows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) 8 - 10 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A preferably within a Pharma/healthcare organization.
- Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, valuation techniques (NPV, IRR, payback), and due diligence.
- Prior exposure to deal structuring, negotiation support, or post-merger integration is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to senior/CXO-level audiences.
