Job Description
Job Summary
Motivated and results-oriented Instrumentation and Automation Engineer in DP. Responsible for installation, maintenance and calibration of a wide range of instrumentation and automation systems to ensure efficient and compliant production of biopharmaceutical drug products. This role requires a strong understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and relevant industry regulations.
"Roles & Responsibilities"
- Design, specify, and install instrumentation and automation systems for Fill-Finish operations, including filling lines, lyophilizers, washers, and other process equipment.
- Develop and implement control strategies for process automation systems using PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms.
- Perform calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of various instrumentation and automation equipment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including calibration records, maintenance logs, and system diagrams.
- Participate in project teams for capital equipment acquisition, installation, and qualification.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in instrumentation and automation technology relevant to the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Adhere to all GMP regulations and ensure equipment operation complies with established policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and production personnel to optimize process performance and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications
Educational qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Automation, or related field)
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working with instrumentation and automation systems in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
- Strong understanding of PLC, DCS, and SCADA programming languages.
- Experience with calibration procedures and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP principles and practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
