Award winning database of reference data, corporate actions and pricing for over 11 million financial instruments is structured and encoded, and is unique in terms of its depth of information and data coverage. The software architecture enables our client to calculate standardized financial statistics as well as to program individual algorithms.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of IT & Operations, the principal activities include:
- Develop solutions to meet internal and external client requirements working alongside the global solutions team
- Maintain existing internal applications and client solutions Create system specifications and documentation including BCP planning.
- Assist in smooth implementation of complex client projects Help define and implement Operational procedures
- Work with 1st and 2nd line support to resolve client issues
- Provide 2nd Level product training and support to interal and external customers
- Liaise with internal resources such as the UK Client Services, worldwide data teams and counterparts to resolve data quality issues.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a firm background working with Microsoft technologies and have a good general knowledge of IT. Previous experience within the financial industry would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience with C#.NET and/or VB.NET
- Experience using ASP.NET WebForms and/or MVC
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases preferably 2008.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working with XML
- Some experience with older technologies such as VB6 or SQL DTS
- Familiarity with IIS
- SharePoint knowledge
- An understanding of market data and the support of a range of reference, real-time and corporate action data.
Additional Information
£50,000 - £65,000 per year plus 10% bonus
