Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company & strategic plan.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to management in the execution of the company& operations.
  • Monitor the company& financial performance, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to manage financial risk.
  • Ensure that the company operates within relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a company representative to stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and shareholders.
  • Participate in board meetings and provide input on key decisions affecting the company.
  • Review and approve the company & annual budget and financial statements.
  • Provide advice and support to the CEO and executive team.
  • An active member of board sub-committees.
  • Work collaboratively with other board members and executive leadership to drive company success.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Have extensive work experience in senior management roles within the laboratory, quality management, and assurance space.
  • Some experience serving on a board of directors will be excellent but optional.
  • Strong sales and marketing acumen, with experience overseeing sales strategies and marketing budgets.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems will be a great advantage.
  • Some working knowledge of the international donor funding landscape for quality and food systems will be a great value add.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide valuable input on critical business decisions.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial outlook and energy to the execution of the organization & strategy.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the company & operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor executive leadership as needed.
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as laboratory science, food or veterinary science or any other relevant technical field.
