Our client who is in the business of providing comprehensive digital solutions for business and individuals seeking more efficient and secure transactions. The company has a cloud-based platform that offers multi-location access, financial analytics, and collaboration tools combined with multi-account functionality for retail chain owners.

 

Our client is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage the organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.

This position is located in Uganda Kampala

Job Description

The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities.

The noteworthy General Manager will account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with business owners, enhance the organization's image, understand technology namely financial technology and meet overall growth objectives

Qualifications

·         Allocating budget resources, formulating company policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring effective and efficient customer service, improving the administration processes, engaging with customers, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.

·         Maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.

·         The General Manager should also conduct constant research on technological improvements and trends that can be implement by the company.

·          Overseeing daily business operations. This will include scheduled internal meetings with each department. (weekly)

·         Developing and implementing growth strategies.

·         Training low-level managers and staff.

·         Creating and managing budgets. (monthly, quarterly, annually)

·         Improving revenue. o Hiring employees.

·         Evaluating performance and productivity.

·         Analysing accounting and financial data.

·         Researching and identifying growth opportunities.

·         Generating reports for directors and giving presentations. (monthly)

Other Duties and Responsibility

·         Promote our products and services during events.

·         Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels.

·         Advertise our company and products/services on various media.

·         Plan interviews and press conferences.

·         Produce marketing copy for our website.

·         Craft and send regular newsletters with company updates.

·         Track ROI for marketing campaigns.

·         Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics.

·         Monitor corporate website and social media pages and address clients’ queries.

·         Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness.

·         Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams.

·         Impeccable customer service skills

Additional Information

Minimum Requirement

·         Degree in Business Management or a Masters in Business Administration.

·         5 years’ minimum experience in the relevant field.

·         Good knowledge of different business functions.

·         Strong leadership qualities.

·         Strong work ethic.

·         Good interpersonal skills.
