Job Description

We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our Albany location (5296 Florida Blvd). In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading a team of associates, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, operational efficiency, and a commitment to driving business success while maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment.

  • Supervise and mentor store associates, providing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to support their professional development
  • Assist in scheduling staff, managing time off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and stock rotation
  • Monitor sales performance and work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage cash handling procedures, process transactions, and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations
  • Organize and conduct staff training sessions on products, services, and customer service standards
  • Analyze operational metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Support the Store Manager in implementing company initiatives and strategic programs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for both customers and employees

Qualifications

 

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills
  • Customer service excellence and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret operational metrics
  • Cash handling experience and knowledge of financial procedures
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Preferred: Experience in staff training and development programs
  • Preferred: Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices
  • Preferred: Sales expertise and track record of exceeding performance targets
