Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Closing Manager to join our team at our Maplewood, United States location. As a Closing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing all closing operations, ensuring a smooth end-of-day process, and maintaining high standards of customer service and security.

  • Manage and coordinate all closing procedures, including cash handling, financial reporting, and security protocols
  • Lead and motivate the closing team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Oversee the closing of all point-of-sale systems and reconcile daily transactions
  • Ensure the store is properly cleaned, organized, and prepared for the next business day
  • Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues that arise during closing hours
  • Implement and maintain company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other managers to optimize store operations and achieve business goals
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or restocking needs
  • Conduct final security checks and activate alarm systems
  • Prepare and submit detailed closing reports to upper management
  • Train and develop team members on closing procedures and best practices
  • Adapt to changing business needs and implement process improvements as necessary

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in retail or a similar industry, with a focus on closing operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with customers
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, POS systems)
  • Experience in cash handling, financial reporting, and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of security protocols and loss prevention techniques
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks
