Job Description
Assist the Maintenance Technician and Leadership in inspecting, testing, repairing and troubleshooting machinery and equipment in the distribution center. Performs minor building repair and construction, i.e., painting, plumbing, carpentry and welding.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment
• Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions
• Troubleshoot problems that arise with equipment and make basic repairs
• Regularly inspect, and perform maintenance on equipment to keep it in good working order
• Discuss machine operation variations with leadership and/or other team members to diagnose problems and repair machines
• Listen to and timely report customer service questions or complaints
• Performs occasional carpentry work including framing, trim work, installing windows, and doors
• Performs miscellaneous painting, scraping, sanding, caulking, sheetrock and plaster repairs as needed and/or directed.
• Assist in the installation and repair of electrical devices such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, and safety and limit switches
• Assist in the lay out, assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Assist in the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of automated machinery and Programmable Logic Controllers
• Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration and Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Assist in following established preventative maintenance, safety and governance guidelines
• Update logs with maintenance information in CMMS
• Identify and document safety issues and report to leadership assist in developing a plan of action to resolve concerns
• Monitor machines to ensure all levels are within EPA, OSHA, and other government guidelines
Qualifications
• High School Diploma, GED and/or Technical School Certification
• At least one (1) year of related experience
• Written communication skills to complete reports
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Comply and meet standard operating procedures
• Accountable for personal time and attendance
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and safely while using or fixing equipment
• Must operate with a sense of urgency, and have attention to detail
• Must be self-disciplined and can work independently without constant oversight
• Maintain certification to operate PIT and Aerial Lift equipment
• Adhere to Domino’s uniform standards
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Constant exposure to loud machinery
• Work in extreme temperatures, both indoor and outdoors
• Perform repetitive movements (e.g. climbing ladders), reaching, bending, push/pulling, standing, repetitive wrist movement, mobile or physically active for entirety of the shift
• Lift from floor to above the head, to carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently, and 75 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to work during a shift which may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day period
