We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to work full-time at our 100,000 square-foot Grand Prairie Supply Chain Center. Assist the Maintenance Team in inspecting, testing, repairing and troubleshooting machinery and equipment in the distribution center. Performs minor building repair and construction, i.e., painting, plumbing, carpentry and welding.   

Schedule: Night Shift (Sunday - Thursday 8pm to 4:30am) 

Hourly Pay: $34/hr.

A day in the life maintenance team member:   

• Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions  

• Discuss machine operation variations with a supervisor or other team members to diagnose problems and repair machines  

• Install and repair electrical devices such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, and safety and limit switches  

• Monitor main electrical panel and troubleshoot as necessary  

• Repair/maintain boiler, water heater, water conditioning equipment, and water distribution systems  

• High School Diploma, GED and/or Technical School Training  

• 3-4 years related experience, and/or licensed journeyman of a skilled trade  

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software  

• Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery  

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoor and outdoors  

• Ability to stand, climb and walk on a continual basis throughout shift   

• Ability to lift from floor to above the head, to carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently, and 75 lbs. occasionally  

Work Environment 

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.   The team member is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock, explosion, and vibration.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be high.   The team member must have a strong safety awareness to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
