Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

System Configuration

  • Configuration of PeopleSoft HRIS, including Time & Labor, Payroll, Benefits, Self Service, Manager Self Service, Workflow
  • Root cause analysis and resolution of system issues
  • Provide ongoing assistance to users of PeopleSoft
  • Support inbound and outbound interfaces to/from third parties
  • Train team members on system and query use

Reporting

  • Develop PeopleSoft queries via the PeopleSoft Query Tool and native SQL.
  • Understand PeopleSoft reporting capabilities and limitations.
  • Understand data relationships between PeopleSoft and third-party vendors
  • Develop programs to automate existing manual reports and/or processes
  • Evaluate regularly requested information to determine if it can be included in a business intelligence tool or dashboard view
  • Run periodic audits with interfaced vendors to ensure data consistency and accuracy
  • Complete statistical based surveys as needed
  • Identify trends and correlations in data sets and provide actionable insights to customers

Business Analyst

  • Serve as the HR representative to document and communicate functional requirements
  • Coordinate system testing and user acceptance
  • Assist with developing and delivering user procedures and training
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for the HRIS team
  • Rollout communications to the team members regarding HRIS changes & enhancements

System Administration

  • Maintain PeopleSoft security
  • Maintain base table structures
  • Serve as main contact for system audits

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant area
  • 2-5 years’ experience with PeopleSoft HCM, including Time & Labor
  • 2-5 years’ experience writing native SQL in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel including extensive use of pivot tables, functions, and macros
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical terms into understandable language for the business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio
