This Manager position has broad and important accountability for Domino’s store food safety programs.  This team member will manage one or more programs related to store food safety risk assessment, standards, global auditing, data analysis and reporting, and risk mitigation, and restaurant capability growth.  This position may also manage one or more direct reports, as assigned. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides key inputs and supports FSQA, cross-functional, and franchisee team efforts to establish short-term (annual) and long-term (3-5 years) strategic goals and priorities, to develop execution roadmap, and to deliver key results.
  • Manages one or more programs within the store food safety and regulatory “end-to-end” accountability including risk assessment, standards development, audit, data analysis, compliance, escalation, crisis management, and risk mitigation strategy, tactics, and execution. 
  • Helps build and drive accountability with U.S. and International business to meet Domino’s and regulatory standards.  Works closely with Domestic and International FSQA and business teams to ensure that programs are sound and properly implemented.  Leads cross-functional teams on relatively complex projects as assigned.
  • Builds regulatory and industry relationships as appropriate to facilitate store food safety accountability.   Builds and maintains close relationships with audit suppliers to ensure collaboration and smooth implementation.
  • Stays up to date with the restaurant food safety landscape and makes continuous improvement recommendations based on emerging information.
  • Supports or leads initiatives within Store Food Safety “Center or Excellence” to support franchisee understanding and compliance with Domino’s store food safety standards.  Supports teammates and franchisees on timely solutions and corrective actions that lead to compliance.   
  • Acts as the store food safety knowledge hub for existing and emerging regulations, standards, and guidance documents & to build the capability of QA and business teammates
  • As assigned, manages team to perform against objectives and key results that tie to department and company priorities.  Provides clear accountability and authority to FSQA teammates and ensures the team support and resourcing is commensurate with expectations.  
  • Builds franchisee risk reduction capability by developing and implementing training and continuous improvement programs. 

Qualifications

  • BS degree, preferred in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or related area. 
  • 7+ years experience working in FSQA, regulatory compliance, standards, auditing and/or food manufacturing
  • Ability and comfort to make “grey area” decisions with varying levels of information
  • Knowledgeable and fluent in restaurant and food manufacturing and safety standards, auditing schemes and regulations  
  • Understanding of or proven ability to learn restaurant and food manufacturing, distribution, and store safety, quality and regulatory environment and translate to actionable standards 
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.  Able to move in fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritize for themselves and their team, manage complexity, create action assignments, verify completion of tasks and follow up
  • Skilled in Domino’s leadership competencies
  • Ability to understand, influence and drive results within cross-functional teams, with consistent high standards and high drive
  • Ability to develop talent through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communication skills, including ability to influence leaders within the organization and within MF’s organizations, coach and flex communication styles depending on diverse audience internally
  • Ability to drive vision and purpose based on sound understanding of the business
  • Ability to think strategically and long-term, anticipates future trends and implications accurately, articulate credible pictures and visions of possibilities for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Skills in PC Proficiency in Windows based applications (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Travel up to 25%
