Job Description

As a member of the company’s ESG team, this role will support implementation and improvement of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy and help drive a wide range of ESG projects and programs. Working under the direction of the Director – ESG, this position will support work including but not limited to, materiality assessment(s), topic research, consultant coordination, policy development and more. This role will help evolve the overall ESG strategy and serve a cross-functional role in embedding sustainability within various business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Work with the Director – ESG and cross-functional peers to ensure progress on ESG strategy and sustainability focus areas.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to identify opportunities to advance the ESG strategy across various topics, including creating company point of view and policies on topics ahead of stakeholder pressure.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to develop/improve and implement policies and programs which reduce environmental impact in alignment with other business objectives.
  • Develop and implement holistic environmental and sustainability policy approach that builds on the existing knowledge and impact of Domino’s business while identifying key policy trends and creating a case for strategic engagement.
  • Recommend and co-create the best way and time to embed ESG topics into the business once the requisite action is tangible and tactical.
  • Provide input & support to the annual Stewardship Reporting processes.
  • Coordinate ongoing management of projects in support of the strategy, such as materiality assessments, internal topical policies and approaches that can be integrated with existing business unit processes.
  • Facilitate ESG oversight model by developing content, planning, and running meetings with business partners, tracking, and monitoring interactions with other internal and external partners.
  • Maintain understanding of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and overall sustainability landscape, including regulatory issues, to inform ESG leadership team of relevant trends.
  • Participate as needed in multi-stakeholder settings, such as pre-competitive dialogues, industry associations, or cross-sector collaboration (e.g. GreenBiz and other conferences to identify trends and topics on the horizon).
  • Support development of policies and programs to address sustainability focus areas, such as climate change, animal welfare, deforestation, human rights, biodiversity, and others.
  • Help drive environmental sustainability innovations and integrate key decisions into ongoing daily business functions like procurement, operations, and marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sustainability, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate sustainability, preferably in the food & beverage industry or related consulting.
  • Determined self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset geared toward taking action and finding solutions.
  • Experience across a broad range of ESG issues - carbon accounting, corporate responsibility, community involvement, human rights, sustainable supply chain, risk-management, etc.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and be able to articulate the business case for change.
  • Ability to execute, prioritize, and drive multiple priorities without losing focus or momentum.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and communicate effectively, including with suppliers and consultants.
  • Must be a Team Player and work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for and experience in developing sustainability strategies, process design, evaluation, and/or project management.
  • Ability to address complex challenges with creativity, positivity, and a growth mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to influence, inspire, and motivate others.
