Job Description

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the Group General Counsel in real estate matters including in France, US and other jurisdictions
  • Draft, review and negotiate real estate lease agreements and mandates with agents
  • Draft, review and negotiate real estate related: letter of interests, Offers, LOI, purchase agreements, deeds and any other transactional documents
  • Draft review and negotiate construction and development agreements with general contractors or individual suppliers
  • Draft review and negotiate agreements with architects, engineers and any other real estate related professional
  • Manage the relationship with the authorities in relation to building and business permits and authorizations
  • Support the follow up and the implementation of the real estate transactions
  • Assist the business in negotiating contracts and advise on regulatory developments ensuring the Group’s comply with respective regulations.
  • Closely collaborate with General Counsel of the Group on various initiatives
  • Any other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor or direct line manager

Qualifications

  • Around 7/12 years of experience gained in fast paced and challenging business environments, preferrably inhouse or law firm, as real estate legal counsel
  • Concrete and proven experience in real estate transactions and deals
  • Concrete and proven experience in various jurisdictions in Europe and USA
  • Master’s degree in law (being a qualified lawyer admitted at a Bar in Luxembourg or France or in another jurisdiction is a plus)
  • International experience is very important especially if gained in France or US.
  • Knowledge of US legal system and real estate highly evaluated
  • Language skills: English (fluent, spoken and in writing) and French necessary.
  • Acute attention to accuracy and details.
  • Independently minded – autonomous but respectful of organization and not afraid to work under the supervision of a General Counsel
  • Able to identify the risks in the deals and communicate them properly and in time
  • Proactive and seeks positive outcomes
  • Not afraid to be hands on and do small and big things
  • Promotes and demonstrates a positive, team‐oriented attitude
