Job Description

The Category Buyer will oversee the highest value purchases of Docler Holding Group with main focus in the IT/IS category and play an important role in developing vendor and stakeholder management.

The Category Buyer will manage the software inventory and supervise the end-to-end software procurement process to ensure compliance while providing the highest quality and on-time supplies.

  • Understand the category, contribute to the development and implementation of category sourcing plan
  • Consolidate purchases across business units of Docler group and facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Lead the development of the end-to-end software purchasing process, identify potential process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure that software inventory database is accurate and kept up-to-date
  • identify cost savings opportunities based on category spend reports
  • Manage stakeholders and suppliers and lead contract negotiations in alignment with business needs and legal frameworks

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven experience as Category Buyer preferably in an international matrix organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of the IT / IS category – vendors, market shares, technologies, trends is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication proficiency in business English and Hungarian
  • Degree in engineering, business administration, accounting or finance
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets analysis
  • Analytical mind with strategic ability and excellent negotiation skills
  • Open, dynamic and flexible personality with outstanding adaptation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and independent approach
