Job Description

The Procurement Analyst is directly reporting to the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager.

The purpose of the role is to support management decisions, contribute to develop, implement and continuously improve procurement processes and procedures and to set up controls

The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for the reliable and timely handling of procurement processes, providing information and reports on procurement issues, maintaining contact with stakeholders and ensuring internal control procedures

 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Initiates and secures the development of data and data sources that can be used to create spend analysis
  • Provides analysis on request and at own initiative on basis of procurement data and information, prepares regular and ad hoc high-quality reporting and management material
  • Monitors regular and ad-hoc procurement activities and follows up on end-to-end progress
  • Monitors and controls the outcome to ensure the quality performance of the team
  • Makes sure all agreements and policies are followed and updated so that commitments are fulfilled accordingly
  • Identifies procedural inefficiencies, seeks to improve existing Procurement practices, recommends risk mitigation measures and cost savings potentials
  • Contributes to develop and implement transactional procurement (P2P) framework and processes, vendor database management
  • Develops and implements registry structure to keep records, collects and arranges information, takes care of document management
  • Tracks functional training requirements and develops internal training materials accordingly
  • Maintains contact with internal and external stakeholders, ensures the grounds for communication
  • Performs stakeholder support within the procurement operation in line with internal requirements and policies
  • Provides administrative and professional support to the Procurement team – market monitoring, supplier selection, evaluation, executive summary
  • Arranges regular and ad-hoc meetings, takes minutes, schedules tasks and tracks progress

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferably with focus on end-to-end Procurement processes
  • Degree in business, accounting, finance or engineering
  • Technical experience with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, spreadsheets analysis
  • Experience with procurement data analysis, ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
  • Insight and awareness of procurement processes and procedures
  • Hands-on experience in e-procurement tools and workflows
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated personality, ability to work on conflicting priorities
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Hungarian
