Daily team communication happens in Slack in the form of a chat or a call. To keep everybody up-to-date with the overall development progress we have regular team calls. Once a year we meet in person to spend together some time full of discussions, coding and fun.

Job Description

The job:

  • Prepare and discuss technical concepts
  • Develop web applications
  • Write automated test suites
  • Perform code reviews and share knowledge with the team
  • Work in agile environment
  • Write technical documentation, specifications, and user manuals

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • 3 years of Python web development experience
  • Profound knowledge of relational databases
  • Love automated testing
  • Desire to work as part of an agile team
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Team player

Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of profiling and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with large code bases and high-availability web platforms
  • Experience with full-text search, for example, Solr, Elastic Search
  • Fluent in German
  • Can travel to an annual team meeting somewhere in Central Europe
