From the start, your experience will be hands-on as you work closely with our Controller and other accounting staff. Location and Hours: Torrance full-time (must be in person)

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining an accurate general ledger, posting adjustments as needed
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Understanding of accrual accounting, debits and credits
• Create Journal Entries
• Processing invoices for payment (both hard copy and EDI).
• Reviewing and reconciling AP and AR accounts.
• Generating reports and executing check runs.
• Assisting with month-end close procedures.
• Verifying invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Prior supply chain/logistics accounting experience is a plus
• Prior experience with MAS/SAGE Accounting ERP and QB is a plus
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or working towards degree (must have work experience as described below)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in xlookup/vlookup
• A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, is required
