Job Description

Carrier Onboarding: Identify, engage, and onboard a diverse range of truckload carriers, including smaller operators (Box Trucks/Sprinter Vans), reefer carriers, long haul 53' trailers, flatbeds, and various medium to large carriers. Your mission will be to establish a reliable and extensive carrier network.

Capacity Management: Proactively secure sufficient capacity within the carrier network to effectively meet fluctuating shipping demands. Your expertise in managing carrier relationships will be critical in ensuring seamless freight movement.

Carrier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with core carriers. Utilize your negotiation skills to secure carriers for freight transportation, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

Effective Communication: Act as a liaison between carriers, customers, and internal teams. Communicate any shipment, billing, or follow-up issues promptly to the AP and Carrier Sales Manager to resolve them efficiently.

Freight Movement Coordination: Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a smooth and high-quality freight movement process. Keep all parties informed about route changes, delays, freight concerns, or any other pertinent issues.

Problem-Solving and Multitasking: Exhibit exceptional multitasking and prioritization abilities, especially when handling unforeseen issues and challenges that arise during operations.

Career Growth: As you become well-versed in DTS Truckload Operations, you'll have the opportunity to advance into Truckload Sales, expanding your expertise and contributing to the company's growth.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in logistics or carrier relations is preferred but not required.

- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain successful carrier relationships.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with carriers, customers, and internal teams.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.

- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.

- High level of organizational skills to manage carrier onboarding and capacity requirements.

- Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
