Job Description

  • To be responsible for receiving Associates requests, complaints and comments in regard to the cafeteria
  • To be innovative, suggesting new ideas, menus and investigating new ways of doing things or new services for our employees
  • Responding to international culinary skills where each meal needs to have Asian, Middle Eastern, international food.
  • To make sure the cleanliness of the Associates Cafeteria at all times
  • To be courteous in dealing with the Associates' request in a timely manner
  • Together with the Executive Chef guidance to review the menu on regular basis, complimenting all type of cuisine according to the nationalities of Associates
  • Interacting with Associates to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and to seek any feedback/suggestion to improve the service
  • Ensuring that all tables, chairs, workstations are organized and cleaned
  • To ensure that any food handlers are wearing the appropriate gloves and hairnets to meet health codes
  • Maintaining proper food temperatures for all food products in the cafeteria
  • Monitoring the equipment’s cleanliness
  • To make sure the live cooking, theme menu, festival menu/special occasion is served according to the menu plan
  • To maintain a record of meal count on a daily basis
  • To maintain the inventory FF&E of the Associates Cafeteria
  • To follow up the daily menu effectively and manage the team within the staff cafeteria efficiently

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 years as a Staff Cafeteria Chef in a star class hotel
  • Ability to speak, read, write advanced level of English
  • Good organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Good in PC Skills (MS Office/MC etc)
  • Hands on approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams
  • Flexibility to respond to employee concerns, requests
  • A passion for building excellent relationships with colleagues
