Compensation range starts at $15 per hour
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description
As our Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to provide a peaceful and tidy environment which directly affects our patients' ability to get better. Moreover, you will be a part of the Discovery Behavioral Health's multifaceted treatment team and assist at Discovery Behavioral Health's Cypress Eating Disorder Facility. Your attention to detail and diligence in your work directly influences the industry-leading level of care we are able to provide to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conducts and maintains the laundry for the bedding materials and bathing towels.
- Inspect and report all safety hazards and infection control issues to the supervisor.
- Change client linens as required.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of all areas of the facility including the kitchen and restrooms.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with the nursing department when performing routine cleaning assignments in inpatient living and/or recreational areas.
- Check exit doors regularly to ensure access is free and blockage is removed.
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas.
- Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
- Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision.
- Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures.
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
This is a full-time position that will work Monday-Friday from 11 am - 7:30 pm, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- 8th-grade education, High School graduate, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of similar experience in a residential facility.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with all work-related contacts.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Basic computer knowledge.
