Compensation Range: $24-26 per hour

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description

The Insurance Contracting Specialist reports to the Insurance Contracting and Payer Relations Supervisor. In this role, you will be a member of the Insurance Contracting Department. You will be in contact with Healthcare providers and Multi-Specialty groups in accordance with corporate guidelines with the team goal of securing single case agreements (SCA), insurance contracts and credentialing with healthcare providers.

Responsibiliites:

  • Initiates time sensitive, one-time payment agreements with providers to meet required turnaround times.
  • Communicates effectively with all parties involved in the SCA’s, insurance contracts and credentialing processes.
  • Researches and analyzes the healthcare market to identify providers for potential partnerships starting with an SCA and/or payer contract.
  • Secures SCA’s, insurance contracts and credentialing where needed in compliance with company templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls.
  • Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with providers.
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.
  • Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise.
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Any other duties requested.

 

This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days in office per week.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Comfortable making outbound calls to potential new healthcare providers
  • Medical knowledge / experience is desirable (claims, benefits, EMR systems (KIPU), SAP systems (Salesforce), contract negotiation)
