Job Description

  • Department: Marketing
  • Salary: £29,000 p.a.
  • Location: Home based (with the requirement to travel to an office location for team meetings and 1-2-1's)

About the Team

The Digital Team is responsible for delivering marketing activity across all of our online channels. Working within the wider marketing department, we implement strategies to support campaigns, promote brand awareness, drive revenue, and constantly improve our partner experience. The world of Digital marketing is constantly evolving, making this an exciting opportunity to leverage current trends on the latest platforms.

About the Role

As the Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in managing and growing our digital content and online presence, guided by our social media and content strategies and ongoing marketing campaigns.

You will be responsible for the creation of content for the company’s social media channels, Community platform and other online content management systems, with the ultimate goal of elevating visibility of the company brand, improving engagement and increasing conversions.

Role responsibilities:

  • Development and delivery of our social media strategy (working with the Head of Digital Marketing) with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Creation and publication of various content types for multiple channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) through self-creation (using our asset banks), and through liaising with in-house graphic designers, third-party creatives, etc
  • Setting up and implementing social media and communication campaigns to align with the wider marketing team strategies
  • Management of posting on multiple channels using a social media scheduling tool such as Hubspot
  • Reporting on the analytics and performance of multiple channels
  • Developing and implementing an on-going Community engagement strategy (working with the Head of Digital Marketing)
  • Responding to Community and social comments and customer queries in a timely manner, and encouraging other experts from across the business team and other community members to do so where appropriate
  • Participating in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Coordinating with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Liaising with other departments to stay updated on new products, features and initiatives
  • General social and digital marketing administration activities
  • Stay up to date with digital technology trends

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience of content creation and social media management
  • Proven experience of working with: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter Instagram, etc.
  • Experience of using a social media scheduling tool
  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles and the use of social channels/platforms
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Creative, with the ability to work with the design team to create visual elements for digital platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reporting on performance of multiple channels
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to build networks and relationships
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable with interacting and building relationships through social media channels

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of creating/managing Paid Social ads
  • Knowledge of using Wordpress and Umbraco CMS
  • Technical and content SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and associated tools
  • Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Experience of managing Community forums or experience of building an effective online community through social media groups
  • Personal interest in technology and experience as a participant in online tech forums
  • Experience in working on multichannel marketing campaigns
  • Developing customer journeys and nurture tracks using marketing automation tools
  • Ability to interpret and analyse website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Competitor analysis and social listening
