Job Description

The Associate Could Engineer will work as a part of a cross functional teams to assist with the development of products, business processes and online commercialization of cloud applications. This role provides technical execution in providing flexible and resilient Information Technology solutions, with a focus on Cloud Model engineering. The Cloud Engineer completes analysis and some design in support of goals, such as testing and performance review, stability and manageability, system documentation and troubleshooting of moderately complex scenarios. This role will support and assist with the development of the foundation infrastructure systems and services to environments and ecosystems hosting commerce and revenue-generating products and services

Monitors and assists with the maintenance of operation systems, applications and related infrastructure focusing on Cloud Model engineering at the foundation

  • Supports and participates in engineering the design, creation and development of software services in the private cloud computing environment
  • Works with developers on application design, performance and troubleshooting
  • Supports engineering efforts to further develop and deploy methods and models used in the practice
  • With support from senior members of the team, works with Operations, Development and other engineering teams on deployment knowledge transfer and troubleshooting/support efforts for moderately complex issues
  • Participates in testing and evaluating new products, technologies and techniques to support the team in goals and deliverables
  • Engineers and supports the use of operating systems, virtualization containers, applications and related infrastructure, providing a 7X24 highly available cloud environment

Works to ensure Quality Control

  • Tests scrip and process changes in a non-production environment before production deployment
  • Documents support issues and resolutions in the Digital River Support Log (DRSL) tool
  • Reviews and makes suggestions on revisions to policies, standards, procedures and guidelines necessary to effectively administer the cloud environment and participates with the implementation as applicable

Technology Evaluation and Leadership

  • Supports efforts to develop and implement a cloud environment which align with current and future business needs
  • Stays current with relevant technologies and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of working experience as a Cloud Engineer
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates an ability to grasp business knowledge and apply it to technical design
