Job Description

The Systems Engineer is responsible for overseeing Digital River’s corporate systems architecture. This position is responsible for all the fundamental systems that enable Digital River users to accomplish their daily tasks, as well as integrating with other team to support external business needs. The Systems Engineer works closely with other departments and end users to ensure that our company's corporate IT operations are efficient, effective, and in alignment with our overall strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

60% Corporate Systems Architecture

  • Direct and oversee enterprise-wide computer and user management (Active Directory, Certificate Authorities, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Oversee existing and new client configured external email setup
  • Manage security risks, evaluating the user and business impact of remediation actions.
  • Ensure changes to production environments go through proper change management protocol and procedures.
  • Work with team to troubleshoot issues and outages including after-action reviews to address and resolve findings.
  • Ensure appropriate proactive communication with internal stakeholders, putting an emphasis on the customer service deliverables of the department and overall business partnering.
  • Direct and assist with maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Recommend improvements to IT policies and procedures; infrastructure performance, security, and scalability while maintaining industry best practices.

20% Project Management

  • Own, organize, build, maintain and implement departmental projects that involve hardware, software, internal and 3rd party applications.
  • Monitor management disciplines to meet corporate service level agreements; identify areas of business process improvement and maintain high level of customer service responsiveness.
  • Research and recommended new computer-based technology solutions for future planning and implementation in alignment with strategic goal.
  • Develop and coordinate I.T. compliance and audit programs including information security requirements needed to meet PCI and SOC compliance.

20% Technical Support

  • Provides technical expertise with little to no peer assistance
  • Creates documentation for providing end users with self-service guides
  • Prioritizes technical support activities and projects to ensure that critical business needs are resolved in a timely manner

Qualifications

Required / Minimum:

  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Systems or related fields
  • Experience in enterprise computer management for Windows
  • In-depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies/implementations to include Active Directory, Azure, Certificate Authorities, Domain Services, Windows Server Operating Systems, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, while managing the demands of daily support.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to build a high performing team of corporate systems professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple workloads in a high pace environment.
  • Ability to facilitate problem-solving technical and business stakeholders with varying needs and priorities.
  • Evident written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience fostering cross-functional and cross-business cooperation
  • Scripting languages/automation experience
  • AWS/AWS Workspaces, O365, Defender for Endpoint/Identity, and MAC OS

Special / Travel Requirements

  • Less than 10% of time domestic and/or international travels.
  • Must be able to work in-person at the Minnetonka Office with little notice
