Job Description

What You'll Do:

The Sr Manager Product Marketing works in conjunction with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Partner teams to develop strategic, value- and product-focused targeted messaging to grow company revenue. This position focuses on understanding the marketplace, identifying opportunities, and delivering on effective strategies to generate results related to strategic marketing planning, branding and product creation. The Sr Manager Product Marketing creates and collaborates on content, enabling sales, and fostering existing client relationships through consistent and compelling brand messaging. This position is responsible for driving the success of products, services, and brand promise in the marketplace.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

75% Product Management and Partner Enablement

  • Become an expert on Digital River’s products and customers and act as a SME to product, marketing, sales, account management, and partnership teams
     
  • Develops and delivers appropriate sales and account management enablement tools
     
  • Develops, establishes, and maintains product marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
     
  • Leads the development of content to market product value propositions and capabilities, and ensures current content is maintained in all marketing communications channels
     
  • Manage the execution of social, online, and new media aligning with the company website and SEO initiatives to contribute to a comprehensive brand strategy
     
  • Oversees the creation of product demo materials (videos, demo store) for internal partners
     
  • Facilitates training sessions across marketing, sales, customer success and partner network programs
     
  • Oversees client email communications and DRCC pop-up notifications around compliance awareness and/or new product functionality that will impact client business
     
  • Leads promotion of product capabilities/value proposition on social media to increase awareness and drive demand
     
  • Manage sales and customer success team communications
     
  • Responsible for all aspects of projects, including but not limited to: meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, campaign analysis and monitoring
     
  • Develops briefs to drive creative production of online and offline product marketing assets, graphic design, and web development from concept to execution.

  • Communicates product and services differentiation to sales and provides recommendations to senior leadership compared to products and services offered by key competitors
     
  • Conducts marketing surveys/research on current and new service concepts

Qualifications

Required / Minimum:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology or SaaS product marketing
     
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to transform technical details into audience-tailored messaging that will resonate with buyers
     
  • Strong knowledge of content strategies for integrated campaigns and sales enablement
     
  • Excellence in developing varying types of marketing materials that will resonate with intended audiences
     
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multiple departments and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, customers, partners, and vendors
     
  • Deep experience in graphic development with creative designers and web developers, providing content and art direction, with proficiency facilitating the creative development process
     
  • Superior project management and time management skills
     
  • Efficient, organized and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment on numerous projects at one time
     
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn with ability to work independently, often with ambiguity, and lead a project without heavy supervision
     
  • Strong proofreading skills with a critical eye for detail and high expectations for deliverables
     

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field; experience 1:1 for education
     
  • Marketing savvy, sales-minded, with a customer-centric mentality and “can do” approach
     
  • A passion for metrics, analytics, user experience and testing to optimize results and support recommendations
     
  • Development of social media content strategies and execution
     
  • Experience marketing software technologies and understanding of ecommerce industry and/or digital marketing services

  • Travel may be required up to 10%
