Job Description

What You'll Do:

The Project Manager will operate as an individual consultant on customer-specific implementation, enhancement, integration, migration, business process enhancement, or training projects. The Project Manager will conduct business analysis to define requirements and formulate recommendations to ensure successful implementation of the company solution. The Project Manger will manage multiple projects concurrently and utilize both traditional and agile project management techniques.

50% Consulting/eCommerce Platform Subject Matter Expertise

  • Act as a liaison between the customer and internal functions to communicate opportunities and requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Create customer-specific documentation and sequence diagrams to accurately capture system and/or business requirements for implementation, certification, support, and training
  • Configure stage and production installations, and confirm integration connectivity and adherence to standards through coordination of end to end testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems as they arise during implementation and through the post-launch period
  • Use experience and knowledge to solve unique problems that span multiple elements of the organization
  • Identify opportunities for platform and process improvements, along with possible solutions
  • Work closely with sales engineers, solution architects, and product engineering to organize and manage client needs
  • Interact with senior customer executives and key project stakeholders regularly to communicate platform capabilities and value proposition

50% Project Management

  • Manage day-to-day project tasks for integrating e-commerce solutions from close of sale to launch to hand-off to the Customer Success team
  • Serve as the primary contact with the clients for project related activities
  • Participate in project planning and communicating project status
  • Manage the scope, schedule, cost and quality of assigned projects
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks over the course of each implementation
  • Ensure that customer business outcomes are cascaded throughout the project team
  • Facilitate client meetings and other communications
  • Receive general instruction on new projects, including guidance and direction from others, with a moderate level of supervision

Qualifications

Required / Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Related Field; experience 1:1 for education
  • 2-5 years of experience in professional services or client-facing project management
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and ability to multitask on competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Consulting competencies such as business acumen, managing interpersonal relationships, coping skills, and problem resolution

Preferred:

  • Experience with Software as a Service or Platform as a Service and/or multi-tenant
  • Ability to grasp new technologies to gain a complete understanding of company solutions
  • Experience working with APIs and API testing tools (Postman)
  • Basic knowledge of web development (html, .css, .js, .php)
  • Experience collaborating through remote work communication platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to perform duties independently with general supervision
