Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for effective warehousing and distribution operations. This will entail overseeing the smooth-running and efficiency in the receipt, storing, value-adding servicing and dispatching of a wide variety of products. As a Warehouse Manager, you will also be involved in inventory control, material handling, customer service, planning workers schedules and ensuring adherence to safety rules.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory movements and stock counts
  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and distribution requirements as well as standard operating procedures
  • Manage receiving, picking, packing and distribution processes
  • Manage reverse logistics and workshop function
  • Prepare annual budgets
  • Schedule and approve expenditures
  • Analyse variances and initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, and hygiene
  • Manage security functions
  • Inspects and monitors physical condition of warehouse and equipment, maintaining a safe, efficient, and professionally appearing work environment
  • Manage and maintain equipment and facilities
  • Manage quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Employee relations management
     

Qualifications

You must have: 

  • A completed Supply Chain Management or related degree
  • At least 10 years experience in a Retail/FMCG warehouse with a great track record in managing warehouse staff and operations
