Job Description

The Director, Client Services is responsible in providing leadership, management, and training to the account management and account strategy teams across our Southern California region. The team they oversee will facilitate ongoing communication with sales and ad-operations on all proposals and active regional accounts. The Director will be expected to make high level decisions while keeping in mind project schedules, technical dependencies, revenue, technical and operational issues. This position requires an analytical, strategic and detail oriented focus with extensive knowledge of the advertising supply chain and a proven track record in customer service excellence.

Key Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Partner with VP, Digital to establish strategic direction, enhance and maintain internal fulfillment processes and infrastructure to support the rapid growth revenue.

  • Lead, manage and grow the client services team with a focus on timely and accurate campaign fulfillment and ongoing account retention.

  • Define, recommend, prioritize, and direct objectives for client services team.

  • Collaborate with other departments across Sales and Ad Operations to ensure successful planning and management of multiple large-scale projects.

  • Continual focus on areas of improvement and opportunities for better efficiencies within the account support infrastructure.

  • Successful hiring, hands-on management and focus on the career development of a team consisting of Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Strategist.

  • Identify, recommend and implement tools, systems & processes that will improve the fulfillment and account management process. Have a pulse on the industry trends. Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of our campaigns.

  • Keep team members and stakeholders informed on department/team plans and progress as needed.

  • Act as primary point of escalation for troubleshooting and other pre or post sale campaign related issues.

  • Ensure clients and internal sales teams are receiving exceptional customer service and support.

  • Closely monitor daily platform performance and be proactive in addressing discrepancies.

  • Display a proactive and positive attitude, always willing to partner and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to solve campaign problems or address any client questions

  • Oversee quality of campaign set-up and ongoing performance against client objectives, to ensure client satisfaction is fully met.

  • Responsible for updating client services team on regional goals and pacing to regional incremental goal

  • Move from market to market within the Southern California region and be present and visible for ongoing team collaborations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 8+ years’ experience working with a large scale online ad tech/digital organization including 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Must have experience in RTB, programmatic and SEM buying concepts with advanced analytics and optimization capabilities. Experience in the automotive and ecommerce field is a plus.

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel required including manipulation of data sets. Strong skills in Powerpoint and Keynote.

  • Google analytics and Adwords Certification

  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • Well-developed management skills, both in principles and people.

  • Proven ability to recruit, train, effectively manage and motivate a team.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence and partner with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Strong working knowledge of brand verification partners, brand safety partners, and ad serving platforms.

  • In addition to occasional client visits, this position will manage multiple teams across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties and will require frequent driving.
