Job Description

We are seeking 12 Field Data Collection Support Agents to mobilize and train farmer groups in Nyeri, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga counties. The goal is to assist farmers in collecting voice
samples using a farmer support app, ensuring timely and high-quality data submission. Agents will play a crucial role in organizing training sessions, supporting farmers, and resolving any issues encountered during the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize farmers for training sessions on voice sample collection.
  • Organize and manage training venues and ensure the effective delivery of training on the farmer app.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to farmers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Address any logistical challenges farmers face and ensure the quality of voice samples submitted.
  • Report daily on progress, issues, and farmer task completion.

 

Qualifications

  • Native speaker of the local Gikuyu dialect, specific to the county for which you are applying (e.g., Nyeri dialect for Nyeri County).
  • Proven experience in mobilizing and training farmer groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with farmers.
  • Prior experience in roles involving coordination and training is preferred.
  •  Must be 25 years or older to ensure authority in interacting with farmers.
