Digital Divide Data (DDD) is a US-based non-profit, mission-driven enterprise with the goal of using technology and digital skills to bridge the divide between economically and socially marginalized youth and employment opportunities that lead to a sustainable and viable future. DDD identifies talented but underserved youth in Africa and Asia (Kenya, Cambodia, and Laos are the main centers) to enter formal employment, undergo professional training and skills development, and pursue tertiary education. Purpose of the Job
The Project Coodinator is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of client projects. The Project Coordinator will work with the project director and client to understand requirements and engage the production team in the fulfilment of the project needs.
The ideal candidate is a driven but steady individual, capable of building relationships across the entire project team, with the flexibility and energy to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Job Description
- Implement project plan - Manage the entire project workflow
- Plan work allocation with appropriate resources: translation, editing, and proof-reading
- Provide project updates, manage client expectations, and communicate with all stakeholders throughout the project.
- Report and escalate to DDD management when required
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within the scope
- Evaluate requirements for project requests, determine feasibility, and estimate work effort
- Manage job workflow, resource, and task allocation to the team
- Assist in providing training to the delivery associates together with the client approved trainer - Ensure that training goes on smoothly
- Identification of training and skill gap within the team during production
- Monitor set targets and quality of the output
- Supervision - Manage associates attendance & discipline
- Liaise with the Clients’ quality team to ensure quality
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by his/her manager
Qualifications
The Project Coordinator will be trained on localization specific project management however the following skills are necessary for this role;
- Bachelor's Degree/Higher Diploma in Business Management or related course
- Experience in Project Management, translation, and/ or customer service and management preferred
- Experience in project management tools
- Fluent in English and Swahili (both written and spoken)
- Ability to acquire proficiency in new processes and tools
- Coaching team members, internal and external resources on project-related processes and tools
- Experience working for BPO is an added advantage
- Team leadership skills.
