We currently have offices in Jeddah and Amman but the location of this open position is to be staffed on-site at one of our high-profile clients in Dammam (in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Region)
Job Description
The Web content manager position is responsible for overseeing content that appears on our client's Wordpress website. This position would serve as our primary day-to-day liaison with key client stakeholders. In this role, they often take requests and manage a queue of requested additions or changes to the website's content and media.
Other roles / responsibilities may include:
- Performing a quality assessment in accordance with best practices.
- Optimizing existing content.
- Consider the impact of SEO and accessibility on content.
- Tag and classify content.
- Perform basic Website Traffic analysis and reporting
- Conduct regular archival and upkeep of digital libraries; and
- Participate in client-facing conversations as needed.
Qualifications
Bii-lingual (Arabic/English) Web Content Manager to work on-site at our client's offices in Dammam.
The position does *not* require copywriting skills but some command of English/Arabic written communications, experience working with Wordpress Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) and basic technical knowledge of Search Engine Optimization.
Managers also work with the site's content producers, determining the type, quality and quantity of content needed for the website. They may assign projects, edit content and manage the employees who work with the website's content. Other duties may include monitoring the site's statistics, such as user demographics, traffic flow and search engine placement.
- 2-3 years of experience working as a content manager or web specialist.
- Experience working with Wordpress
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
- Knowledge of current SEO practices and accessibility standards.
- Able to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends.
- Experience independently managing client initiatives and campaigns.
- Knowledge of writing for the web best practices.
- Familiarity with developing content strategies for the web, mobile, apps, social media channels and platforms and beyond.
