The Product Content Specialist is responsible for the design and implementation of a library of connected training activities and experiences inside of the Diamond Kinetics mobile apps.  A successful candidate will apply deep knowledge of hitting, pitching, or other sport specific disciplines to craft fun and engaging training experiences that leverage Diamond Kinetics technology.  The specialist should have the ability to introduce baseball and/or softball training concepts to a broad audience ranging from youth players and their parents to more advanced players.

The product content specialist will outline and document key elements of these training experiences to guide the design, development, and integration into Diamond Kinetics mobile applications.  Additionally the specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts (in hitting and pitching) to adapt existing drills and content for use with connected sport technology as well as to create innovative experiences to drive fun and development. 

Success in this role is defined by the ability to work with product designers and developers to build a growing library of connected drills, games, challenges, and activities that engage Diamond Kinetics users and help them improve their game.

You Have

• Experience designing drills and workouts to help players improve their hitting and/or pitching skills

• Experience crafting games and challenges to drive intra team competition

• A deep knowledge of and the ability to convey hitting and pitching concepts across a range of players (youth to advanced)

• An understanding of how to motivate players to improve their hitting or pitching abilities

• An innovative streak and a desire to create new training experiences that are fun and engaging

You Might Also Have

• A background in user experience design, game design, or instructional design

• Experience with a video content production process or product development process

• Experience with player development planning or practice planning or high level playing experience

• An interest in mobile gaming, sports gaming, or esports

On a Typical Day You Might

• “Playtest” connected baseball training games/drills by leading players through a session

• Research, evaluate, and adapt commonly used hitting drills for use with connected sports technology

• Define and document the flow of a given drill or game for use in video production and app design and development

• Organize a series of games, challenges, and connected drills into a thoughtful progression to help a player develop their skills over time

• Collaborate with hitting and pitching instructors to create novel training experiences, drills, and games

• Research, document, and socialize emerging trends and methods for hitting and pitching instruction

• Work with the Diamond Kinetics engineering team to determine new applications of existing tracking capabilities to unlock new training experiences

• Work with video production team to successfully capture setup, explanatory, or other forms of video content to introduce new connected training experiences
