Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?


We are seeking a Business Finance Analyst to support operations finance. Reporting to the Director, Operations, this role partners with operations and finance teams to analyze, forecast, and report financial results, supporting data-driven decision-making.

Your work will include:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements by contract/business unit vs budget and forecast
  • Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations
  • Support annual budgets, forecasts, and business planning
  • Analyze site-level profitability, cost drivers, and KPIs
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance
  • Support month-end close including accruals and allocations
  • Prepare financial reporting packages for stakeholders
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and GL review
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Support audits and internal controls
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and business case support

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 3+ years of financial analysis
  • Experience in contract or operations-based environments preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  • CPA (or working toward) is an asset
  • Advanced Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
  • Experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to translate financial results into operational insights
