What's the Job

We’re looking for a sharp, organized, and proactive WCB Coordinator to join our Disability Management team on a short-term contract. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys digging into the details of claims management, this could be a great fit.

About the Role

As a WCB Coordinator you’ll play a key part in supporting injury management across our operations ensuring timely and accurate responses to workplace incidents and Workers’ Compensation claims. Your work will help ensure our teams stay safe, informed, and supported.

This is a Remote, contract position for 3 to 6 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Respond to incident reports within 24 hours (Monday–Friday), making sure modified work offers are safe and suitable.
  • Join weekly and monthly team meetings to stay aligned and share updates.
  • Support operations through the full injury management process.
  • Help roll out and maintain policies and workflows.
  • Review injury details and determine if they’re work-related.
  • File employer reports and submit documentation to the right Compensation Boards.
  • Keep accurate records and ensure timely updates on claims.
  • Review accident cost statements and enter claim costs.
  • Follow up on claims within 5 days to keep things moving.
  • Communicate clearly with management about claim decisions and updates.
  • Make sure modified work offers match injured workers’ shift schedules.
  • Help manage Dexterra’s provincial WCB accounts.
  • Handle other related tasks to support the team as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of experience in WCB claims management.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Great organization and time management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
