Job Description

The Service Manager/Safety Manager will have relevant experience at a comparable level of responsibility in managing day-to-day operations of both Safety and technical maintenance and repair programs of similar size, scope and complexity to those in the CBP Arizona Region Facilities, which consist of 138 facilities across 27 sites totaling 1.38M square feet.

Key Job Functions

  • Responsible for the performance of the day-to-day operations of the contract
  • Oversee HVAC Technicians and other maintenance personnel, working in tandem with the QC Manager and Environmental Control Specialist to uphold standards for environmental standards, sustainability, work quality
  • Support the enforcement of the Quality Control Plan utilized for the contract
  • Enforce the CMI corporate Health and Safety Plan (HSP) in which the primary objective is to provide baseline guidance for the preparation and implementation of detailed, project-specific health & safety plans
  • Work with the Quality Control Manager to facilitate QC inspections
  • Collaborate with CMI corporate and site management to ensure all quality-tasked personnel are current on all work and compliance requirements
  • Enforce and maintain compliance with all statutory and regulatory health and safety requirements and integrate them with all other service delivery plans and CBP plans and procedures
  • Integrate deficiencies identified through safety and health inspections into the HSP
  • Conduct annual HSP reviews to ensure the HSP remains current, compliant with the most recent regulations, and consistent with CBP and CMI practices
  • Facilitate employee training as part of integrating changes to the HSP
  • Establish / maintain plans and inspections to minimize accumulation of combustibles, including flammable materials storage requirements
  • Ensure close integration with facility Emergency Operations Plans (EOP)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a technician in HVAC and Mechanical Systems
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality control inspections of building systems and equipment
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a manager of service technicians
  • Must have excellent organization skills and be capable of working in a fast paced, changing priority work environment
