Job Description

The Quality Control Manager / Environmental Control Specialist will have relevant experience at a comparable level of responsibility supporting the Quality Control, environmental, and sustainability goals of technical maintenance and repair programs of similar size, scope and complexity to those in the CBP Arizona Region Facilities, which consist of 138 facilities across 27 sites totaling 1.38M square feet.

Key Job Functions

  • Responsible for the performance of the work by CMI employees and subcontractor personnel
  • Responsible for the performance of all CMI work impacting the environment
  • Responsible for providing the Government with compliant supplies and services and working with the Government regarding its administration of its Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan
  • Draft and monitor the Quality Control Plan utilized for the contract
  • Guide and instruct quality control technicians in their day-to-day work and performance of necessary Quality Control inspections
  • Collaborate with client (Government) personnel to facilitate joint Quality inspections when and as needed
  • Collaborate with CMI corporate and site management to ensure all quality-tasked personnel are current on all work and compliance requirements
  • Responsible for tracking, documentation and disposal of hazardous waste produced while performing preventive maintenance, identifying when new or revised permits are needed, and managing the Certifications and Permits program as required by the contract

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Environmental Systems Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience performing quality control manager duties for contracts of similar size and scope, and at a similar level of responsibility and in leadership positions including management of quality control inspectors; at least five (5) years preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience performing environmental control duties on contracts of similar size and scope
