As a District Manager, you will be a highly valued, primary representative for Dexterra.  In this role, you will work with management team members and enabling support functions in supervising multiple account operations. The District Manager has the primary mission of fostering client relationships and negotiating client contracts to increase new business opportunities and profitability for the Company. District Managers foster long term relationships by delivering operational excellence to meet client and customer needs.  As a District Manager, you will also provide direction and expertise to the district by promoting Dexterra strategies and best practices aligned with our Vision and Values

Your work will include:

  • Understanding that client retention is embedded as a daily process through thoughtful action and attitude, utilizing the Tenacity Client for Life methodology.
  • Ensuring a visible Account-level presence to foster and maintain effective working relationships with all Clients.
  • Aligning key Dexterra contacts with similar positions or titles within the client organization and creating a relationship matrix (Web of Influence).
  • Communicating performance expectations, monitoring, and rewarding performance to ensure plans, goals, and budgets are met.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to management teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identifying new opportunities to market and sell new products and services within existing clients or to new clients.
  • Maintaining a strategic selling mindset and utilizing the Miller Heiman sales methodology and process to drive sales growth.
  • Overseeing management teams to ensure the strength of operations through quality checks and other methods.
  • Implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Developing and executing district-level strategic plans that align with Dexterra's overall business objectives.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Providing leadership and direction to management teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering professional growth, and ensuring a pipeline of future leaders within the district.
  • Managing district budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Analyzing financial reports and implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain profitability.
  • Ensuring all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Representing Dexterra at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to enhance the company's reputation and influence in the market.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in one or more integrated facilities management services preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of management experience and directing a team in a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple janitorial sites with at least 100 staff members across the sites.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to lead others by demonstrating empathy, open-mindedness and respect
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with People – employees, client and customers
  • Familiar with health, safety and environmental management systems
  • Ability to travel between sites on demand, travel is required approximately 60% of the time
  • Spanish language skills are an asset.
  • A clear criminal record check is required for this role.
