WHAT'S THE JOB?

We are looking to hire a Food Service Associate (Part-Time) at Tim Hortons at Ontario Tech University. This position will report directly to the Lead Hand/Food Service Director. Shifts available are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm, or Monday to Friday 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

• Ensure safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients including temperature recording
• Provide service to customers ensuring correct and efficient order completion while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
• Ambassador of goodwill, ethics, and great customer relations at all times
• Develop the skill set to work at each station (sandwiches, bagels, drinks…)
• Comply with maintenance of food rotation to minimize spoilage
• Adherence to policies and standards as outlined in the Marek Hospitality Employee Handbook and by Tim Hortons as well as all workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Positive attitude with a passion for providing great service
• Ability to lift (10kgs.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
• Able to follow directions
• Able to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
• Reach and lift between 0-10 pounds from floor to shoulder height
• • Frequent standing and walking required
• • Able to work in hot or cold temperatures
