Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.
As a Manufacturing Engineering Student, reporting to the Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will focus on the improvement of products and the creation/improvement of production processes. You will work closely with our design, supply chain, and production teams.
The work term for this student co-op role will start in January 2024.
Your work will include:
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes by completing time studies for various workstations, reviewing the value stream mapping (VSM) of the business to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiencies
- Participating in root cause analysis for project delays, identifying the root cause and implementing the required solutions
- Participate in tooling, fixture and jig creation/implementation
- Create/maintain process and safety documentation (SOPs)
- Assist with implementation of CI items

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Currently in a related university degree or diploma program in engineering.
- A practical understanding of problem-solving methodologies and product development.
- A general understanding of the construction industry and how projects are delivered therein.
- Experience with CAD / solid modelling / BIM / architectural drafting systems such as Revit an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Smartsheets.
