Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

As the Breakfast Cook, you are responsible for the most important meal of the day for the camp guests and ensuring that they are fueled for day! This will include preparing, cooking and serving hot breakfast to the camp guests in a timely manner. 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast for guests at site (number of guests are dependent on each site location)
  • Creating and following menus to ensure quality of food prepared and served
  • Ensuring consistent quality of standard in over-all food preparation as per clients' requirements including consideration to special dietary constraints 
  • Ensuring proper equipment operation, safety and sanitization in the kitchen 
  • Complying with food safety regulations in accordance with Food Safety Act
  • Cleaning, washing and sanitizing equipment and over-all work areas 

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You are energetic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with an awesome team, while being able to work with minimal to no supervision 
  • You take pride in your work and will go the extra mile for client and guest satisfaction 
  • You're an early-riser and enjoy providing people with a delicious meal to start the day off right 
  • You have high standards in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen 
  • You have proven experience preparing and cooking hot breakfast for a large number of guests (made-to-order eggs, omelet station, etc.)
  • It's an asset if you have a valid Food Safe Certification, but not required 
  • Must be double vaccinated for Covid-19
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing upon arrival to the site
  • You are able to handle the following physical demands:
    • Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs
    • Climb ladders or stairs
    • Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time 
    • Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands
    • Perform work with arms at full length 
    • Work with arms above shoulder height
