Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at a manufacturing plant, and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities include assembly of products, using bolts, screws, clips, and assorted fasteners. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.

  • Responsible for the completion of repairs and maintenance for all building and equipment assets.
  • Responsible for the coordination of repairs and maintenance working within a preventative maintenance plan.
  • Responsible for maintaining maintenance schedules for all production and building equipment.
  • Responsible for performing minor repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment including CNC equipment, power tools, pneumatic tools, and compressor systems.
  • Responsible for organizing parts and tool crib repair schedules.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving basic repairs.
  • Responsible for all administrative duties involving documenting repairs and adhering to maintenance protocol and systems.
  • Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
  • Completes daily Job Hazards Assessments and Pre Job Task Hazard Analysis forms.
  • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment at all times during work hours.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a related field or Journeyman Millwright/Journeyman Electrician.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.
  • Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work individually and as a team member.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers.
  • Valid Class-5 license required
  • Perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Working at heights when required.
