Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As the Environmental Coordinator Co-op Student, reporting to the Director – Quality Assurance and Environment, you will assist in various sustainability initiatives. In this role, you are responsible for assisting in the implementation of sustainability programs, environmental initiatives, and the development of environmental programs. You will also support scope emission data gathering, waste audits, compliance audits and chemical management projects.

Your work will include:

  • Assist with the implementation of environmental emissions data gathering program.
  • Conducting field waste audits, reporting results and analysis of the data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conducting field environmental audits and reporting of results to the team.
  • Performing chemical management audits and communicating corrective actions to site management for any issues identified.
  • Providing support with the development of various environmental programs.
  • Environmental and sustainability administrative tasks as required. 

Working Conditions:

This role is a temporary full-time position from May to August (16 week in total). The primary work location will be the Dexterra Group corporate office on Airport Road, with the ability to work from home 3 days a week. Some travel will be required to worksites.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Work, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Display organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
