Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As the Janitorial Supervisor, reporting to the Account Director, you will supervise and coordinate all cleaning staff, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the cleanliness of our site facilities in Peterborough to the highest level. Hours vary, you will manage your schedule. Weekends evenings, days, holidays may all be required.

This position requires a clean criminal record, be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and have own reliable transportation as a condition of employment. 

Your work will include:

  • This is a working position and requires a minimum of 25% of your time spent completing site inspections daily.
  • You are responsible to cover any shifts that you cannot find coverage for.
  • Provide Cleaners with positive leadership and set an example of expected requirements.
  • Coordinate coverage for sick days and vacations.
  • H&S safety and training.
  • Training of new employees.
  • Complete inventory and order supplies to budget parameters.
  • Assist Manager with all paperwork required for reporting purposes which may include time sheets, worker incident and accident reports;
  • Address concerns from clients in a timely manner.
  • Additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A great attitude!
  • At least one (1) year experience in cleaning.
  • Able to communicate with Manager, Client and general public
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Hazardous Materials.
  • Flexible, motivated and ability to work independently in a unionized environment.
