Job Description

The Regional Operations Director BC & North (ROD) is a member of the IFM West Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Division Vice President, Facilities Management Western Canada. The incumbent will work with leadership team members, operational directors, and district managers in enabling Support function directors to facilitate divisional growth, meet new business financial targets and oversee divisional operations. RODs foster long term relationships with clients by delivering operational excellence to meet client and customer needs. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. The ROD also provides direction and expertise to the district by promoting Dexterra strategies and best practices aligned with our Vision and Values.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering or related study.
  • Minimum of 15 years of operational experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), Public Private Partnerships (P3) and or Hard / Soft FM including Food Service. IFM P3 experience considered an asset.
  • Federal Government Security Clearance
  • Familiar with current industry technology
  • Demonstrated market awareness, branding, innovation to create competitive advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop and retain employees
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated financial management skills

Additional Information

Strategic Planning and Marketing;

  • Plans, oversees and operationalizes the business plan in the region
  • Responsible for delivery of the P&L targets for the region.
  • Identify, sell and implement new business opportunities in key markets to meet sales target in accordance with the corporate sales model
  • Develops plans and budgets to meet financial targets
  • With support of the Sales Director, initiates, facilitates, manages and builds new client relationships

Business Development and Revenue Generation:

  • Tracks, identifies and pursues opportunities with new and current clients.
  • Leads and supports negotiations with clients and potential clients
  • Leads pursuit activities
  • Responsible for all bids on strategy, solutioning, writing and costing
  • Using networks, helps identify, recruit and vet account level proposed staff
  • Influences proposal pricing quality assurance on bids, proposal requirements
  • Keeps abreast of trends in business environment and regional development

Resource Planning and Management

  • Plans, manages, coordinates and strengthens operations
  • Consistently assess workloads, matching existing personnel resource needs to operational demands and decides new staff, available synergies and surge capacity
  • Works with HR Business Partner to ensure resources match current need and workforce planning for the region
  • Trains, coaches and facilitates mentorship in strategic planning, marketing, business development and operational functions

Client Relationships

  • Understands that client retention is embedded as a daily process through thoughtful action and attitude, utilizing the Tenacity Client for Life® methodology.
  • Ensures a visible Account-level presence to foster and maintain effective working relationship with all Clients.
  • Establishes and maintains a professional, trusting and positive working relationship with clients
  • Aligns key Dexterra contacts with like positions or titles within the client organization and create a relationship matrix (Web of Influence)
  • Interface on a regular occurrence with account clients and influencers
  • Gain insight to Client values and business drivers
  • Maintain a promoter score in the NPS program with all existing clients
  • Identify a coach and economic buyer associated with each new opportunity and pursuit
  • Ensure compliance of Miller Heiman sales platform including use of Salesforce
