Job Description

  • Perform daily tasks in Accounts Receivable, including investigation and resolution of invoice discrepancies and contacting customers regarding past due items;
  • Process adjustments, receivable write-offs and payment reversals;
  • Assists with month end closing;
  • Maintain and organize accounts receivable files;
  • Understand the importance of journal submissions, financial reports, processes and systems;
  • Working knowledge of price referencing, differentials, cost savings, etc.;
  • Identifying and escalating defined uncollected accounts;
  • Complete month, quarter and year end closes of Accounts Receivable invoice discrepancies;
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have an educational background normally equivalent to high school.
  • Basic course work in bookkeeping and financial administration is an asset
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a accounts receivable or credit and collections field.
  • Intermediate skills in the use of the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and effective time management skills.
