Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Join our NRB Modular Solutions team in Grimsby, Ontario, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

As a Carpenter’s Helper, reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will assist tradespersons in the construction of modular structures made of wood, wood substitutes, steel and other materials. Standard hours for work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.

$500 Signing Bonus available to new hires after 3 months of employment!

Your work will include:

  • Assembly of basic carpentry elements, with supervision.
  • Assisting tradesmen and in the construction of modular buildings.
  • Interior and exterior finishes.
  • Framing in both wood and steel construction.
  • Installation of windows, doors and fitments.
  • Working at heights where required.
  • Adherence to all HSE policies and procedures.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Work requires some knowledge of the construction/ manufacturing industry.
  • Basic carpentry experience and/or experience working on construction sites considered an asset.
  • Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to the carpentry trade.
  • Need to be familiar with building materials.
