Job Description
The QA Supervisor performs some or all of the following duties:
· Develop, create, and improve procedure within the Quality Department
· Conduct Internal quality audit in reference to ISO190011
· Conduct Data analysis and provide recommendations based on analysis
· Monitor calibration process and make sure that all equipment available for use are calibrated based on ISO17025
· Create, develop and establish Inspection & Test Plan
· Conduct Process Audit in reference to established Procedure and Inspection & Test Plan
· Monitor departmental Quality Index
· Lead & Coordinate Root Cause analysis
· Ensure that all Major & Critical NCR’s are closed and rectified, including verification of the Corrective Action’s efficiency.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
· Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college with a degree or diploma in Engineering, Environment, Quality or Safety, preferred.
· Five (5) years of progressive Quality experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
· Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience with multiple direct reports.
· Previous experience in wood-frame construction in either the commercial/industrial, factory building, modular or residential housing sectors is an asset.
· Practical experience or knowledge of relevant trade areas (Cabinetry, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing) is an asset.
· Familiar with the use of Provincial Code Books and Industry Quality Control Standards.
· Successful completion of Quality education leading to an advanced Quality designation (e.g. ASQ-CQE, ISO Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
· Knowledge and understanding on ISO17025 or calibration system
· Solid proficiency in MS Office programs; and
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
