Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

As a Carpenter’s Helper, reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will assist tradespersons in the construction of modular structures made of wood, wood substitutes, steel and other materials. Standard hours for work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.

Your work will include:

  • Assembly of basic carpentry elements, with supervision.
  • Assisting tradesmen and in the construction of modular buildings.
  • Interior and exterior finishes.
  • Framing in both wood and steel construction.
  • Installation of windows, doors and fitments.
  • Working at heights where required.
  • Adherance to all HSE policies and procedures.

  Starting Rate for this position is $21.00/hour.

  Signing Bonus of $500.00 available to successful candidates.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Work requires some knowledge of the construction/ manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 1 year of basic carpentry experience and/or experience working on construction sites.
  • Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to the carpentry trade.
  • Need to be familiar with building materials.
